Our title sponsor, The Amicas Restaurant and Brewery has become a destination for road cyclists and mountain bikers alike. You can’t beat a ride on the Continental Divide trail followed by a wood oven pizza and a beer. Visit them at 136 East 2nd Street. Absolute Bikes has also been a key sponsor since the creation of SCR. In 2008, they became the co-title and now provide the cycling club and race team with world class support. In 2004, racers in Chaffee County founded South Central Racing (SCR) with a goal to promote cycling in central Colorado. The Amicas Restaurant and Brewery was the first sponsor to sign on and a club was born. The goal was to create a cycling club and race team focused on bringing a community of cyclists together in Chaffee County. Now with 70 plus members and 10 contract racers, this dream has become a reality.
