With over 1000 starts the Salida Omnium is one of the largest Road Races in the State of Colorado. Past editions have seen Olympians, Tour De France Teams, and National Champions racing for the win. For the third year, the Salida Omnium will host The State Games of West. The State Games is a premier national multi-sport event for athletes of all ages and abilities held every year under the banner of the National Congress of State Games. Medal winners from 49 State Games nationwide earn the right to compete against other winners in a national arena. In conjunction with the State Games, the top three riders in each category will receive medals for their placing.
Alpine Park at the corner of 4th and F Streets is our base for registration, the Road Race Start and the Criterium. There’s parking in the public lot between Safeway and the bike path at the corner of 3rd and H Streets.
